La strada per battere Vladimir Putin è quella di inondare il mercato europeo con gas naturale ottenuto mediante fracking (frattura idraulica) negli Stati Uniti, o almeno questo è ciò che vuol farci credere l’industria. Nel quadro dell’escalation dell’isteria antirussa, due proposte di legge sono state presentate al Congresso statunitense; con esse si intende approvare fast-track [con procedura rapida] le esportazioni di gas naturale liquefatto (LNG la sua sigla in inglese), allo scopo di aiutare l’Europa a sganciarsi dai combustibili fossili di Putin e rafforzare la sicurezza nazionale statunitense.
