Ho cercato di mostrare l’ascesa di un sistema coercitivo eterogeneo, nella sua natura e nel suo funzionamento, rispetto al sistema penale del XVIII secolo, e che si vede all’opera nelle società di moralizzazione e nel gioco delle lettres de cachet1.
